The United States and Costa Rica will face off this Tuesday in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2013 soccer tournament in Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. The match is set to begin at 8 p.m., EST and can be watched online live stream (see details below).
The Americans and Costa Rica will challenge Group C supremacy as they are currently atop the hexagonal standings in the last phase of World Cup qualifying. Despite both teams having already qualified for the knockout phase the game promises to be a very competitive affair.
The United States has two victories through their opening matches. The Americans won the game 6-1 against Belize and the second game 1-0 against Cuba.
Costa Rica also enters the match with two victories. The team won the game 3-0 against Cuba and against Belize 1-0 thanks to an own goal.
The Americans are aware that Costa Rica can be a real challenge. U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann has said while everybody has respect for Belize and Cuba, the benchmark for them starts with Costa Rica.
"We need now where we're eye-to-eye with the opponents, where we know it's going to go down to the wire and therefore we're really looking forward to that match," Klinsmann said.
